Link classes into a group so a family already booked into one gets a percentage off when they book another.
A multi-class discount rewards a family for booking more than one of your classes. You link a set of classes into a group and set a percentage. When someone who already has a confirmed booking in one class in the group books another, the discount comes off automatically — they don't need a code.
Note
This is not multi-class booking. Parents still book each class separately, one at a time. The discount is applied automatically to the second and subsequent bookings.
The card then shows every class in the group and the percentage, with options to edit or remove it. Editing from any class in the group edits the same group.
The discount is matched on the booker's email address. When they enter their email on the booking form, Bookabee checks whether that address already has a confirmed booking in another class in the same group. If it does, a "Multi-class discount" line appears on the price breakdown before they pay.
The discount comes off the class fee only — never off add-ons — and is worked out from the price of the class being booked, so the amount tracks what they're actually buying (including a pay-as-you-go booking of just a few sessions).
Only a confirmed booking earns the discount. A booking still sitting at the Stripe checkout hasn't paid yet, so it doesn't count.
If a parent is mid-payment on their first class and opens the second, they see an amber note telling them the discount will apply once that payment lands, rather than being quietly charged full price with no explanation. If they finish the first payment and then book the second, they get the discount.
Important
A booking that was cancelled no longer counts. If a family cancels the class that earned them the discount, the discount already applied to their other booking stays as it was — Bookabee never retrospectively re-charges anyone.
If a parent enters a voucher code, the voucher wins and the multi-class discount is skipped for that booking. Only one discount applies to any one booking, so there's no way for the two to compound into an unexpectedly cheap place.
If you duplicate classes each term, you'll have several similarly-named classes in the picker. Linking a hidden one does nothing useful — nobody can book it, so nobody can ever earn the discount from it. Bookabee warns you in amber if you tick a hidden class, but doesn't block it, since a class may be hidden only temporarily.
Tip
A sensible starting point is 10–20% on a group of classes that run on different days, so a family can realistically do both. Setting it on classes that clash in the timetable earns you nothing.
