Learning about engineering by building theme park rides in KS2.
£48.00 for 6 remaining sessions + £1.37 booking fee
Every week in the autumn term, we'll learn a new concept from engineering as we take part in fun hands-on engineering challenges building rides from theme parks in teams.
We'll be building and testing super slides, helter skelters, carousels, and more across the term. Children will also develop their problem solving, creativity and collaboration skills, too.
Not only has research shown that taking part in engineering in school can boost achievement in all subjects, but it can also help children's resilience as they understand that they can learn from their mistakes.
In our clubs, we deliberately use simple, reusable, and recyclable materials - cups, craft sticks, straws - not just because it's better for the planet, but to show children that great engineering ideas can come from everyday objects. Children can also take home everything we use and pick up the engineering again at home with their own resources, rather than us holding on to expensive kits, so the learning doesn't stop when each session ends.
